Client: Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK)

Description: Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) commissioned Sustainable Societies Consulting Group to conduct exploratory research of youth mental health apps in order to aid ROCK’s decision-making process related to the potential for a mental health application for youth in the Halton Region. The report explores the evidence-base for the use of mobile mental health smartphone applications (MHapps) as an effective means of intervention, describes best practices regarding design and development for a mobile mental health application, describes the evidence-base for potential features that can be included in the MHapp, provides an overview of existing MHapps, and finally makes recommendations.
